  • Reading, UK - head office based  
  • Major Six Sigma Black Belt project, forming part of their cultural transformation project
  • Process Improvement / Process Mapping
  • Immediate start preferred (31 August 2021 at the latest)
  • Likely to be a six-month contract (potential to extend)
  • Interim Six Sigma Black Belt / Master Black Belt required with some experience in the service sector preferred

We require a six sigma black belt or master black belt for a senior-level interim contract to drive a cultural transformation project for a growing business service provider.

The organisation has experienced rapid growth and is at the early stages of their lean six sigma journey; they require an Interim Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to:

  • Understand and map processes, consider these in context of lean and six sigma, then devise and efficiently deliver effective solutions
  • Mentor and coach in Lean / Six Sigma methodologies 
  • Work with the team to uncover and assess lean opportunities; helping to prioritise those projects with greatest benefit
  • Apply lean six sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects
  • Identify and implement key department metrics
  • Share best practice and innovations

To be considered you will be a highly energetic Lean Six Sigma professional with vast experience of implementing lean and process improvement projects from the service sector.  Expertise in process mapping and standard work / SOPs is essential.  Six Sigma Black Belt (ideally Master) certification is essential. The job holder will have much interaction with four key stakeholders on the Main Board and therefore experience of Board level stakeholder management is essential.   

There is a need to be both strategic and operational; with a focus on both ‘quick wins’ and delivering sustainable long-term results as part of the organisation’s cultural transformation programme, therefore candidates will demonstrate presence, excellent communication skills, possess a ‘hands-on’ style and be appropriate and flexible in utilising their process improvement tools.

This assignment will likely best suit an established Interim, however candidates with broad change transformation experience embarking on their first interim assignment will also be considered. Please note that the daily rate range stated of £650 - £750 per day (Outside IR35) is dependent on experience.
