This is a fantastic fast track ‘career development’ opportunity potentially suitable for an ‘up and coming’ Continuous Improvement / Lean Practitioner.  

Working for a highly progressive food manufacturer at one of their flagship modern manufacturing sites based to the north of Leeds, you will lead operational improvement initiatives that are designed to eliminate non-value adding activity & waste and deliver savings using 5S, visual management and kaizen events.  

You will benefit from significant mentoring, training and support from Management to improve processes across the site which is at the beginning of their lean journey.  

To be considered you will ideally be educated to degree level, ideally in engineering or manufacturing / production management.  You will demonstrate some (potentially limited) experience of continuous improvement and lean / process improvement techniques (5S, visual management, root cause analysis, kaizen events etc…) from any demanding fast-moving manufacturing environment.  Candidates with food, drink or non-food FMCG manufacturing experience will be of particular interest.

You will demonstrate energy, excellent communication and influencing skills and engaging hands-on interpersonal skills, coupled with a genuine passion for change and enrichment of the workplace using best practice techniques.
