Our client is a global leader of customer-centric solutions and is part of a major international group, known for their innovation and their collaborative / people orientated approach and are highly supportive of developing a true, unified lean / continuous improvement culture.  Their North West operation (equidistance from Manchester and Liverpool) seeks a highly energetic and inspirational lean expert to be the sole team member in the management and delivery of lean and six sigma improvement projects across the site, driving best-in-class performance, cost savings and customer satisfaction.

The site provides diverse solutions to an enviable and demanding customer base and therefore technical and cultural fit is more important than sector experience, however, candidates coming from a complex service sector, supply chain solutions, logistics, after-market or a diverse world-class manufacturing sector will be of particular interest.

You will identify and work on a variety of exciting projects and initiatives in close conjunction with core operational teams, using expertise in lean and/or six sigma to identify continuous improvement opportunities and then deliver structured projects to achieve measurable improvements.  You will run multi-departmental Kaizen events, small group activities and individual DMAIC projects, deliver lean and six sigma training and accelerate the proliferation of lean culture throughout the organisation.      

To be considered it is essential that candidates demonstrate experience of driving continuous improvement / lean initiatives.  Candidates will be of graduate calibre and will possess a minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt (ideally Black Belt) certification with some Black Belt training.  Most importantly we require a track record of driving and leading cultural, long-term sustainable change.  You will demonstrate a progressive career and possess energy, excellent communication and influencing skills and have an engaging hands-on people management style, coupled with a genuine passion for change and enrichment of the workplace utilising world class improvement techniques.
