This is a fantastic newly created career opportunity, suitable for a people and process focused Maintenance Manager to lead, shape and deliver the systematic introduction of a preventative maintenance model across a large multisite UK manufacturing organisation. The UK Maintenance Manager / Head of Maintenance will be tasked to optimise plant performance, reduce downtime, reduce spends and increase asset life cycle. The job holder will benefit from significant support and sponsorship from the Main Board for this appointment and the programme; there is strong ‘buy-in’ across the organisation to develop and embed a robust ‘best in class’ TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) culture.
The UK Maintenance Manager will provide strategic leadership in the design, development and delivery of a maintenance (PPM / TPM) strategy for plant across all seven manufacturing sites (mainly located across the North of England, the North Midlands and Scotland) to achieve targeted operational performance availability and increase equipment life expectancy. The UK maintenance budget for FY 2017/18 is £15m for R&M and £7m for lifecycle replacement and there are presently in excess of 100 maintenance staff across the UK. The UK Maintenance Manager will have dotted line responsibility for each Site Maintenance Manager and will work very closely with the Main Board and Senior Management peers.
The UK Maintenance Manager can be based anywhere across the UK, but preferably in the North of England / Midlands and will suit a Maintenance / Asset Care / Asset Reliability professional with a proven track record at a regional or national level in the design, implementation and delivery of a maintenance (PPM / TPM) strategy. Candidates will have strong leadership skills coupled with stakeholder management experience having previously presented and liaised at Board level.

You will be of graduate calibre (ideally educated to degree level), demonstrate a progressive career and possess energy, excellent communication & influencing skills and engaging hands-on people skills, coupled with a genuine passion for change and enrichment of the work place through using world class techniques.
Due to the multisite responsibilities there is a need for flexibility and a willingness to travel across the UK.
Please note that the salary advertised is dependent on experience. The package includes a company car or car allowance, a performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.
