We require an Interim Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to be integral in a cultural transformation programme for a well-established FTSE 250 process service provider.  The Interim Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will have a broad remit including:

  • Understand existing process maps, consider these in context of lean and six sigma, then devise and efficiently deliver effective solutions
  • Mentor and coach in Lean / Lean Six Sigma methodologies including to senior stakeholders
  • Lead and facilitate lean focused workshops
  • Work with the team to uncover and assess lean opportunities; helping to prioritise those projects with greatest benefit and support delivery with well executed sustainable steps  
  • Lead specific projects and apply lean six sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects
  • Identify and implement key department metrics
  • Share best practice and innovations

To be considered you will be a highly energetic Lean Six Sigma facilitator and trainer with vast experience of implementing lean initiatives and process improvement within a world class manufacturing or engineering environment.  There is a need to be both strategic and operation; with a focus on both ‘quick wins’ and delivering sustainable long-term results as part of the organisation’s cultural transformation programme, therefore candidates will demonstrate presence, excellent communication skills, possess a ‘hands-on’ style and be appropriate and flexible in utilising their process improvement tools.  Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required for this position and language skills (in particular German and / or Polish) are highly desirable.

You will be available immediately (for an immediate start) or be available at the latest by Monday 20 March 2017 (ideally earlier).  This assignment will suit an established Interim and will equally suit a candidate embarking on their first interim assignment.  Please note that the daily rate range stated of £400 - £450 per day is dependent on experience.
