Reliability / Maintenance Manager | Berkshire - Closed Job Feb 2017

This is a fantastic opportunity for a people and change focused Reliability / Maintenance / Asset Care Manager.  We are recruiting for a division of a well-renowned organisation at their manufacturing facility near Bracknell, Berkshire. The site has achieved some impressive results using the tools of their unique Production System, but they are still at the beginning of their world class manufacturing / lean journey with much to build on and implement.  The job holder will receive significant support and the world class manufacturing / lean programme has sponsorship from the Main Board. 

This role is a critical part of the Site Operations Team and will significantly contribute to ambitious growth plans and the objective to drive towards volume manufacturing. The job holder will lead and manage a team of up to five Technicians and also manage various outsourced maintenance contracts.  The candidate will champion all aspects of World Class Maintenance. It is expected that the successful candidate will deliver a step change in performance, equipment reliability, spares management and install a thorough ability to execute on time in full.

Duties include:

• Provide Health & Safety Leadership & ensure statutory compliance
• Responsible for labour scheduling & teams completion of reliability tasks (Preventative & Reactive)
• Embed and ensure systems such as CMMS, planning and regulatory are fully implemented and sustainable
• Full responsibility for best-in-class spares management on site
• Budgetary responsibility for site maintenance spend
• Continuously drive improvement to PM effectiveness and routines
• Embed thorough fault finding and root cause analysis into the way we do things
• Work closely with Safety, NPI, Process Development, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain & Production teams to implement & embed efficiency gains

The job holder will be experienced in managing the execution of world-class maintenance practices within a manufacturing environment and be a subject matter expert in world-class maintenance concepts. Strong change management experience and an ability to get the best out of teams is a key requirement as is problem-solving skills and the ability to breakdown the problem.
