Lean / Continuous Improvement Specialist | Berkshire - Closed Job Feb 2017

Calling all Lean / Continuous Improvement Engineers and Managers who are passionate about implementing lean and making change happen.  This is a fantastic career development opportunity for a people-focused lean / continuous improvement practitioner who is probably (but not necessarily) at the early stages of their career and offers outstanding career prospects.

We are recruiting for a division of a well-renowned organisation at their manufacturing facility near Bracknell, Berkshire.  The site has achieved some impressive results using the tools of their unique Production System, but they are still at the beginning of their lean journey with much to build on and implement.  The job holder will receive significant support and the lean / world-class manufacturing programme has sponsorship from the Main Board. 

The role will involve a significant amount of training and capability building throughout our Operations teams. The successful candidate will work alongside Value Stream Managers & Team Members to continuously challenge and improve the status quote.

The ideal candidate will champion all aspects of World Class Manufacturing on Site and be forward in supporting thorough understanding throughout the site.

In summary, the appointment will be focus approximately 30 - 40% time on training / coaching of colleagues (with specific focus on standardisation, problem-solving and visual management) and approximately 60 - 70% time implementing Continuous Improvement projects. 

This is an opportunity for a highly driven and energetic, ‘hands-on’, technically competent lean / world class manufacturing professional.  A background in a demanding manufacturing or engineering sector is preferred, however we will be open-minded.  For candidates in the early stages of their career, there is an expectation to demonstrate limited, but sound experience of coaching and training continuous improvement tools and techniques, coupled with implementing at least one major CI project.
