Six Sigma Black Belt | South Yorkshire | Food Manuf. - Closed Job April 2017

This is an outstanding opportunity for a manufacturing CI / Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from any fast moving and highly demanding manufacturing sector. Food experience would be desirable, but is certainly not essential. 

Our highly profitable, globally renewed food manufacturing client has an existing and well-established culture of continuous improvement, lean and six sigma which is embraced and supported throughout all management teams and across all functions.

The Six Sigma Black Belt will focus on manufacturing at their flagship site in Yorkshire and will report to the Director of Continuous Improvement based at their European head office.      

The Six Sigma Black Belt will be a key member of the Operations team and will be tasked to drive, facilitate and support the implementation of a Continuous Improvement environment; interfacing with all functions to apply best practices and execute change on short-term tactical and long-term strategic initiatives. Leading project teams of varying sizes, this ‘hands-on’ position is highly visible within the organisation.

To be considered candidates will demonstrate a breadth of experience of driving continuous improvement / lean six sigma initiatives from any fast moving and highly demanding manufacturing sector. Candidates will possess Six Sigma Black Belt certification (if not certified, you will be willing to gain certification) and of most importance a track record of driving cultural, long-term sustainable lean and six sigma programmes.

You will ideally be degree educated, having progressed your career from engineering or manufacturing / production line management. You will possess energy, excellent communication skills and an engaging hands-on people management style, coupled with genuine passion for change and enrichment of the work place utilising world class improvement techniques.
