We require an Interim Lean Six Sigma Manager / Continuous Improvement Manager to be integral in a cultural transformation programme for a well-established automotive tier 1 supplier.  The Interim Lean Six Sigma Manager / Continuous Improvement Manager will have a broad remit including:

  • Understand and map processes, consider these in context of lean and six sigma, then devise and efficiently deliver effective solutions
  • Mentor and coach in Lean / Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Lead and facilitate lean focused workshops
  • Work with the team to uncover and assess lean opportunities; helping to prioritise those projects with greatest benefit and support delivery with well executed sustainable steps  
  • Lead specific projects and apply lean six sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects
  • Identify and implement key department metrics
  • Share best practice and innovations

This appointment may well suit a Lean Practitioner with experience in the automotive sector OR a candidate with automotive Operational / Leadership experience, but possessing a knowledgeable lean toolbox and vast lean facilitation experience.   

To be considered you will be a highly energetic Lean Six Sigma facilitator and trainer with vast experience of implementing lean initiatives and process improvement within the automotive sector.  There is a need to be both strategic and operation; with a focus on both ‘quick wins’ and delivering sustainable long-term results as part of the organisation’s cultural transformation programme, therefore candidates will demonstrate presence, excellent communication skills, possess a ‘hands-on’ style and be appropriate and flexible in utilising their process improvement tools.

You will be available immediately (for an immediate start) or be available at the latest by Monday 26 September 2016. This assignment will likely best suit an established Interim, however candidates embarking on their first interim assignment will also be considered.  Please note that the daily rate range stated of £400 - £450 per day is dependent on experience.
