This is a fantastic ‘career development’ opportunity for a talented lean / continuous improvement specialist or (with exposure to driving lean initiatives) to deploy lean tools and methodologies with extensive employee involvement across the head office function.

This appointment offers the opportunity to support and embed a long-term culture of lean management into an organisation at the beginning of their lean journey and benefits from full Main Board sponsorship and support.  

Reporting to Director level, within this rapidly growing niche service sector organisation, the Lean / Continuous Improvement Lead will be employed within their UK organisation, responsibilities include:

  • Create, implement and execute the Operational Excellence Framework across the Service and Operational Business
  • Embed the philosophies of the Operational Excellence Framework within the Operations function.
  • Promote the use of lean tools and techniques and communicate the successes and challenges of the lean journey.
  • Work with all Team Leaders to develop and maintain metrics that reflect the overall lean objectives for the Operations business.
  • Improve the productivity of the workforce through training, developing talent, technology enablement, process improvements, best practices and implementing Lean Standards within the company to improve the overall skill level of the operational function
  • Manage relationships with Operations Team Leaders where required to ensure effective support of the wider Operational goals.
  • Lead the Continuous Improvement culture, enable colleagues to own continuous improvement
  • Develops reports of overall Continuous Improvement activities including accomplishments, participation, projected activities and anticipated needs.

To be considered it is essential that candidates demonstrate experience of driving lean / continuous improvement (CI) initiatives within any demanding services sector environment.  Candidates will be Lean Practitioners with a minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt certification and extensive knowledge and application of Continuous Improvement methodologies (DMAIC, DMADV, Lean, TPM), coupled with strong leadership, collaboration and management skills.  You will demonstrate energy, excellent communication and influencing skills and an engaging hands-on people management style, coupled with genuine passion for change and enrichment of the work place lean / continuous improvement (CI) techniques.

Please note that the salary advertised is highly dependent on experience.
