Our client is part of a European manufacturing group that manufacture high volume quality products. They require a Lean / Continuous Improvement Manager to improve the performance of operations by providing constant challenge of the status quo, championing lean philosophy, implementing robust measurement of losses and facilitating the development and implementation of a continuous improvement plan. 

Focussed on driving CI activities including Kaizen events through effective engagement of people, this opportunity offers excellent support from Senior Management / Board level and the potential for career advancement. The job holder will mentor and guide a team of four Lean Coordinators and have a remit to strategically drive a sustainable lean culture across their Leicestershire based manufacturing facility. 

It is essential that candidates have a background in manufacturing and possess experience and deep understanding of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement. We require a candidate who demonstrates experience of driving continuous improvement / lean / six sigma initiatives having held a similar role and has excelled in managing / leading people. Six Sigma certification would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential. In addition, experience of data analysis is required,  but most importantly we require excellent communication skills and an engaging hands-on people management style.
