As a global high volume manufacturer of medical devices, our client requires an exceptional lean six sigma / world class manufacturing improvement expert to develop and lead continuous improvement activities at their large flagship manufacturing site in East Anglia.
Reporting to the Operations Director (dotted line reporting the Group Operational Excellence Director) based remotely at their European head office, this senior management level appointment has full Main Board support and sponsorship.
The job holder will demonstrate expertise / best practice and provide specialist training in the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques including Six Sigma Green Belt training (internally certified). Working with the management teams to positively encourage the deployment of trained resources to work on planned and approved projects.
To be considered it is essential that candidates demonstrate experience of driving continuous improvement / lean initiatives / world class manufacturing within any demanding and fast moving manufacturing sector. Candidates will be of graduate calibre and possess Six Sigma Green Belt certification, ideally Black Belt certification (Master Back Belt would be advantageous). Most importantly we require a track record of driving and leading cultural, long-term sustainable change.
You will demonstrate a progressive career, likely to have originated from engineering or manufacturing / production line management. You will possess energy, excellent communication & influencing skills and an engaging hands-on people management style, coupled with genuine passion for change and enrichment of the work place utilising world class improvement techniques.
