Our client, a leading brand in the retail / leisure sector has in excess of 200 outlets across the UK and serves several million customers every month. They have created this key permanent appointment to implement and sustain a change and continuous / process improvement strategy across their entire UK network from their head office in North London.
The Head of Lean / Operational Excellence will report directly to a Main Board member and benefit from significant support and Main Board sponsorship. Still in the early stages of their lean / operational excellence journey, the job holder will be responsible for strategy design and full roll out, working closely with Regional Directors to drive a continuous improvement programme.
We require a Change / Process Improvement expert who has operated at senior management level and above having worked for any large / blue chip organisations. We require a candidate with true world class lean / process improvement experience and therefore specific industry experience is not required, however candidates with experience in retail, wholesale, food service, restaurant, leisure and any customer facing experience organisation will be of particular interest.
Candidates will be of graduate calibre and demonstrate a progressive career history and have experience of large scale implementation of lean and continuous improvement programmes. Candidates possessing six sigma certification is desirable, but not essential. Most importantly we require a ‘down-to-earth’ leader of people, demonstrating outstanding facilitation skills coupled with a track record of strategically driving and leading cultural, long-term sustainable change.
The basic salary is dependent on experience and in addition the package will include a generous car allowance, a profit share bonus and excellent benefits.
