Our client is a highly profitable and progressive blue chip manufacturer. Following an internal promotion they require a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to join their team at their Merseyside manufacturing facility.

Focussed on manufacturing, the job holder will use Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve compliance, quality, customer satisfaction, eliminate waste, reduce cost and improve cycle time. The expectation is to complete 2 - 3 projects per year that deliver bottom-line financial benefits. As appropriate, Black Belts may also lead Design and Business improvement projects using the company methodology. The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is the technical leader, advanced user and teacher of the Lean and Six Sigma tools and methods. The Black Belt may be called upon to teach and mentor Green Belts within the organisation and will also take the remit of Change Agent working with project teams and management to adopt a data-driven approach in their daily work. The approximate split of time will be 50% project work, 25% VSM, KPI and Gemba Improvement and 25% Mentoring / Coaching

This is a progression appointment offering significant career opportunities and advancement. Sponsorship for continuous improvement / process improvement and Lean Six Sigma is very high within the organisation and therefore the job holder will benefit from much support and resources.  To be considered it is essential that you are Six Sigma Black Belt certified, potentially with limited project / delivery experience and ideally be degree educated. You will have continuous improvement (CI) / process improvement management experience gained within any demanding and fast moving manufacturing sector and possess excellent communication and influencing skills.
