The job holder will be a key member of the Operations team and will be tasked to drive, facilitate and support the implementation of a Continuous Improvement environment; interfacing with all functions to apply best practices and execute change on short-term tactical and long-term strategic initiatives. Leading project teams of varying sizes, this ‘hands-on’ position is highly visible within the organisation and will report to the Production Director.
Having produced record profit figures, our well established food manufacturing client is embarking on a major lean development programme. This programme is supported throughout all management teams and the creation of a Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager position at their Leicestershire site is sponsored by the Main Board.
To be considered it is essential that candidates demonstrate a breadth of experience of driving continuous improvement / lean initiatives from within the food or drink manufacturing sector. Candidates will ideally possess Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification, but of most importance is a track record of driving cultural, long-term sustainable lean and six sigma programmes.
You will demonstrate a progressive career, likely to have originated from engineering or manufacturing / production line management. You will possess energy, excellent communication skills and an engaging hands-on people management style, coupled with genuine passion for change and enrichment of the work place utilising world class improvement techniques.
