As a market-leading global operations and productivity improvement consultancy practice, their UK operation has recently secured several high-value contract wins within the food and non-food manufacturing industry. They are therefore looking add to their innovative and dynamic team with a new Consultant on a permanent basis.
Prior management consulting experience is not required; this is an excellent opportunity for a high calibre individual possessing strong problem-solving skills within FMCG manufacturing and general manufacturing environments. Interested candidates can be based anywhere across the UK as the job holder's weekly schedule will typically involve working on clients sites from Monday to Thursday and from home office on Friday.
You will advise, plan and lead major improvement projects for manufacturing clients across the UK. As Lean Consultant / Facilitator, you will lead your client's team in changing methodologies and approaches and then coach and mentor to apply these newly developed principles. You will benefit from a comprehensive development plan; including training of formal company operating principles to generate rapid and sustainable returns and efficiencies.
To be considered, you will be degree educated (or higher), ideally in Engineering or Production / Manufacturing Management. You will be highly driven and self-motivated, demonstrating excellent communication skills and an engaging interpersonal style. You will ideally possess production / manufacturing line management experience gained within a demanding manufacturing environment. Some exposure to continuous improvement (CI) or lean initiatives is advantageous.
