This is an outstanding opportunity for an engaging and people-focused ‘hands-on’ Lean / Continuous Improvement Director (or Head) with a strategic mindset looking for a long-term career move.

We are recruiting for the UK regional division of a pioneering multi-billion USA turnover engineering services organisation. The Head of Continuous Improvement will focus on enabling their Lean Business System to a level of maturity and will drive training, coaching, mentoring and direct application of lean tools and concepts whilst recruiting and developing a dedicated team of practitioners.  This appointment can be based from anywhere in the UK and will take responsibility for Continuous Improvement across eight UK sites.

This newly created appointment will receive significant support and Main Board sponsorship; there is genuine visible long-term ‘buy-in’ to develop this programme and provide a clear path for further career progression.  In addition, this is an urgent requirement, and they are keen to not delay the recruitment programme.

To be considered it is essential that you have already demonstrated a dedicated Continuous Improvement appointment at senior management / Director level, and you will possess experience in driving large-scale lean / continuous improvement (CI) initiatives / programmes across multiple sites coupled with strong leadership and strong Stakeholder management skills. You will be Black Belt or Master Black Belt certified and have experienced a recognised lean business system / lean operating system.  You will demonstrate a progressive career and possess high energy, excellent communication & influencing skills and engaging hands-on people skills. Due to the nature of the position, there is a need for flexibility and a willingness to travel.

Please note that the basic salary advertised is dependent on experience.  In addition to the basic salary, there is a car allowance, a performance bonus (approximately 25% of the basic salary) and a comprehensive flexible benefits package.  Should you feel your skills and experience are well suited please apply online or for further information contact Dan Sculthorp, Director at OPEX Selection.
